SHANNON TRACY RAE HATTON
January 24, 1966 - February 20, 2020
She leaves behind a cherished family that she loved immensely and was very proud of: husband Farouk (Frank) Bacchus, and daughters, Maia and Sara. Tracy is also survived by her mother Glenda, sisters, Tara and Elise, brother Chris, extended Hatton and Bacchus families, and many close friends.
She was predeceased by her father Gordon and brother Scott.
All who loved her dearly will never forget her tenacity, generosity, charm and her unwavering love, support and encouragement for them.
Though much too short, Tracy lived her life to the fullest. Born on a bitterly cold day in January 1966 to Gordon and Glenda Hatton. She loved to travel and enjoyed many family vacations in far off places. After graduating from the University of Manitoba with a degree in Economics, Tracy worked for the CIBC before moving on to MLC where she met her best friend and soul mate Farouk. Tracy joined her family in growing a successful business, Oil Mart Ltd. Her absence will be felt deeply by all who had the pleasure of dealing with her. Tracy could befriend anyone, anywhere, with her quick smile and those stunning blue eyes that radiated kindness. She thrived on the exchange of interesting ideas with friends and family and debated passionately - even when you agreed with her. The hardest part of losing Tracy isn't saying goodbye, it will be learning to live without her.
A celebration of Tracy's life will be held on Saturday, February 29, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. in Wojcik's Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main Street at Manitoba Avenue.
In lieu of flowers, Tracy would hope that you enjoy a beverage and some good food with your loved ones, do an unexpected and unsolicited act of kindness for someone, plant some flowers of your own or make a donation to CancerCare Manitoba.
