(née SIMONS)

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Margaret Anne Wegier, of Winnipeg, Manitoba who passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2020, at St. Boniface Hospital, at the age of 81.
Margaret was predeceased by her parents, Vernon and Nora Simons, Frank and Mary Wegier, and brother and sister-in-law, Bernice and Carl Wegier. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Wally, daughters, Ruth (Ron) and Joan, her son Tom (Lana), grandchildren, Chase, Morgan, Lenny and Levi; Margaret's sisters, Aurelie (Brian) and Joan, brother Vernon (Jan), along with her nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the entire staff at St. Boniface Hospital from Emergency, 5E, 6E and ICU for their compassion and care.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of her life will be held on March 21, 2020 at Archwood Community Club, 565 Guilbault St., Winnipeg. Come and go between 12:00 noon and 4:00 p.m.

  • I’m am so sad, I just found out about your mom today. Your Mom was the best person ever she had a great big heart and was the best of friends with my mom Frances. I never forget being your basement many nights doing ceramics with your mom she was such a living person.
