WILLIAM LEONARD PEACOCK
June 19, 1969 - March 14, 2020
He leaves to remember him the love of his life, Melissa; daughter Shanelle (Garrett); brother Bob (Angela); and his parents, Robert and Frances, whose sacrifices enabled Bill and his brother to enjoy a stable upbringing while learning how to treat others with respect. He also leaves his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Pat and Alvin Myers; and Melissa's sisters, Robin (Oliver), Gina (Nelson) and Erin (Chris), and nieces Brittnay, Courtney and Paige.
Mourning him as well is his constant companion, his chihuahua Marley.
Bill enjoyed playing and coaching team sports and many friendships grew from those experiences. He excelled at his career in the hospitality industry where his legacy left a mark on those he worked with. More than anything, Bill loved spending time with his friends and his family, whether on a golf course, road trip or in the living room.
Later in life, Bill had the great opportunity to travel extensively with Melissa and Shanelle and enjoyed all of the time they spent together.
Thank you to the numerous nurses and staff at the Victoria Hospital Cancer Care, Dr. Goldenberg at CancerCare and Dr. M. Venditti who Bill spoke highly of.
Special thanks to the palliative care team (Sophie) and the doctors and nurses, with special thanks to Yohanes, his primary nurse, who came weekly and enjoyed talking about Bill's passion, New Castle football.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Bill and I worked together at a few different places in the late 90’s early 00’s and always stayed in touch over the years. He was a great mentor as I started what has become a 25 year career in hospitality and I leaned on him for advice for years even after work took us down different paths. He was always available to chat and a very genuine person with an incredible work ethic. I will miss our chats greatly but have many memories and stories to carry forward. My condolences to Melissa and all his family and friends. May you be comforted by the many memories of Bill now and always. We are all better people for having had him in our lives. - Posted by: Chris Hartley (Friend ) on: Mar 26, 2020

We were so very sorry to hear of your sons/husbands passing. Even though mom and I had never met Bill we certainly heard all about from Fran and Melissa. Please know that our thoughts are with all of you as you go through this difficult time. Linda & Marion Yaromy. - Posted by: Linda & Marion Yaromy (Friends) on: Mar 25, 2020

Sincere condolences to Melissa, Shanelle, Mr. and Mrs Peacock and Bob. Bill was a great friend and teammate, who always made time to share a laugh or watch a game. He was a true 'glue guy' who brought people together until the very end. He will be deeply missed. Toon Army forever! - Posted by: Ken McKim (longtime friend) on: Mar 24, 2020

Very sorry to see this news. Bill was a my high school basketball coach many years ago. Realize now how much time and energy he put into coaching us. Huge sacrifice of time and energy. Always positive and made basketball fun. May he rest in peace. - Posted by: Dan Lussier (Friend) on: Mar 23, 2020

Although I did not see Bill very much as he lived in Ontario for years and our paths did not cross often. I did hear so many wonderful memories from my parents John and Anne Didora. They enjoyed spending time with Bill, Bob and of course their parents Fran and Bob. I hope it brings comfort knowing he will not be alone without angels on his journey. My parents and other family will be surrounding him. May he rest in peace. Our deepest condolences to all your family. While I never had the opportunity to meet Bill, I am deeply saddened by his passing. In recent years I feel we have really bonded with his parents, Fran and Robert, with whom we share a kindred spirit and now feel the pain of their loss. ("Frannie", nee Masnyk, and I can trace our bond back to 1950 - that's 70 years!). Respectively, Myron Masnyk - Posted by: Myron Masnyk (First cousin - once removed.) on: Mar 21, 2020
