He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He will be greatly missed by his eldest son Nore (Esther) and their children, Cassandra (Max and Lily), Christina (Zayden), and William of Kitchener, ON; his daughter Dolores (Ron Nothrup) and their children, Ellery (Casara and Vada), Aron (Kd, Evolyn, Gyda, and Etti), Stacey (Josh Fira, Morgan and Gemma) of San Angelo, TX; youngest son Kelly (Barb) of Rainy River, ON. He also leaves behind his sisters, Erica, Erna (Roger) and Hedy (Ed), and his brother Fritz (Bev); several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews; and friends. He was predeceased by his loving wife Sonja, his parents, brother Manfred, and sister Hilda.
After his retirement from the Dominion Malting plant in 1995 he spent time with Sonja at Falcon Lake during the summer months and their Florida home during the winter months. A favourite past time was golfing. After the death of his loving wife he moved to Stony Mountain, MB, where he spent several years with his companion Jean. He continued to play golf in the summer months and bowled in the winter months.
Hammy's family wish to express their eternal gratitude and thanks to all of the nurses, support staff, and doctors that cared for Hammy during his residency at the Betel Nursing Home in Selkirk, MB.
A memorial service will occur sometime later in the future.
In lieu of flowers, we would ask you to send any donations to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 120 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2.

I can remember all the fun we had at Falcon Lake. The NorthStar Club. Hammy taught me how to drive a standard transmission because I was driving my dad crazy. Those days are missed. My condolences to Nore, Delores, Kelly and your families. - Posted by: Sheilagh Ball (Friend) on: Apr 27, 2020

I think of fond memories at Falcon Lake when I think of my Uncle and can hear his mild laughter. My dad will be happy to see his brother again. Sending our love and thoughts to the whole family. - Posted by: Kim Hutchison (Niece) on: Apr 26, 2020
