Born August 19, 1922 in Brokenhead, Manitoba. She graduated as a nurse from the Grace Hospital School of Nursing. She began her practice in Winnipeg; first at the Deer Lodge, then the Grace, hospitals. True to her profession, she preferred giving to receiving, and was a kind and gentle soul with a courageous spirit. She had a keen interest in world affairs, and travelled frequently during her life.
Nellie was predeceased by her husband, Lloyd George Seifert; and daughter, Sharon Lynn Seifert. She is survived by sisters, Elvia Cann and Shirley Beidler; daughter, Lorna Nicol; son, David and wife, Jan; nieces, Teri Seifert and Kelly (Seifert) Clarkson and husband, Jeff; and grandniece, Charlotte.
We send special thanks to the staff at Fred Douglas Lodge, Winnipeg, for the loving care they gave to our mom during her residence there.
She will be missed by many family members and friends.

I'm so very sorry to read of Nellie's passing. I recall with great pleasure working with her in my early nursing years - I learned so much from her. Sincerest condolences to her family. Barb Reimer - Posted by: Barb Reimer (former co-worker Grace Hospital) on: May 04, 2020
What a wonderful lady! I worked with her at the Grace 1974/75 and can't say enough about her kindness to me, and her sense of humour. RIP dear Nellie. You deserve it. Condolences to the family. Hope you are comforted and encouraged to hear stories that impacted people in ways I'm sure she wasn't even aware of. - Posted by: Caroline (Holland) Stevenson (acquaintance) on: May 02, 2020
