May 12, 1937- April 29, 2020
Vonnie is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Donald (Ted); son Dean Farmer (Cheryl); and brothers, Gerry and Bill.
Vonnie grew up in Kenora and met Ted in 1959 when she moved to Pinefalls to take a nursing job. Ted and Vonnie married in 1961 and moved to Springfield in 1968. There they spent their time horse riding, golfing, curling, lawn bowling, gardening and caring for their many dogs they loved so much. I was so sorry to read of Vonnie's passing. I met her through curling in the For Garry Ladies Curling League at the Fort Garry Curling Club. I loved curling with and against Vonnie. She was a woman of few, but poignant words! I will always have such fond memories of our time together on and off the ice. Please know that her memory will be cherished and held close to my heart. Please accept my sincere condolences. - Posted by: Valerie Bergeron (Friend from curling) on: May 09, 2020

My sincere condolences on your loss. I pray that memories of happier times will see you through your time of grief! "God gave us memory so we might enjoy roses in winter." Vonnie was a wonderful person I got to know through lawn bowling. The world will miss her. - Posted by: Bob Strong (Friend) on: May 09, 2020
