BREANNA CHEKAY
July 12, 1990 - May 6, 2020
Breanna was born on July 12, 1990, in Regina, SK, to Alan and Helen Chekay. She received her psychology degree from the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg in 2016. She worked for CNF Marketing, an online retailer, as the operations manager for 11 years. On June 16, 2017, she married Blair Kraushar.
Breanna loved fashion and shopping. She listened to country music and liked dancing to the latest pop song. She loved her dog Harvey and she enjoyed watching movies and being surrounded by her loving friends and family. Breanna always had a smile on and was very easy going. She could always make you laugh with her sass and sarcasm. She was empathetic and a great care giver when you needed it.
Breanna is survived by her loving husband Blair Kraushar; parents, Alan and Helen Chekay; sister Richelle Chekay; three sisters-in-law, Lisa Kraushar, Sam Stregger, Paige Stregger; and one brother-in-law Tanner Stregger; along with niece Madison Orvis, and several cousins, aunts, and uncles.
A private family memorial service will be held on Friday, May 22, 2020, at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB, at 1:00 p.m. The service can be viewed via live stream at birchwoodfuneralchapel.com at the time of the service.
If friends so desire, donations in memory of Breanna may be made to CIBC Run for the Cure.
Special thank you to all the doctors and nurses at: CancerCare Manitoba, St. Boniface Hospital, Health Sciences Centre, her Radiation Team, Dr. Suzan Iskander and Massoud Horriat from the St. Adolphe Pharmacy.

My sincere condolences , she is deeply being missed. Even though she was suffering she had a smile that would light up the room, she was kind, caring and always put others before her own needs, She was so worried about everyone else around her and what her illness was doing to them ,that you would think she was not worried about her own condition, God Bless Her beautiful soul I am sure she is dancing with the angels right now. - Posted by: MASSOUD HORRIAT (Friend) on: May 19, 2020
