FAYE MARGARET HELEN ENNIS
(nee LOWEN)
May 19, 1935 - May 10, 2020
She leaves to mourn her beloved daughters, Sandy Bergman (Kelly) and Glenda Falkowski (Victor); granddaughters, Kara Falkowski (Chris) and Kiana Bergman (Gregory); as well as her special nephew, Curtiss Lowen (Roxanne).
Faye is predeceased by her husband, Mervin; her parents, Herb and Irene Lowen; and her brother, Terry.
She was a very loving daughter, mother, and grandmother, always putting other's needs ahead of her own. Family was very important to Mom. She also had some lasting friendships that she cherished dearly.
Mom was born in Winkler, MB and spent her childhood years between Winkler and Crystal City, and her high school years in Portage La Prairie. She moved to Winnipeg in 1952, and worked at a variety of places including MTS, the Winnipeg Free Press, T. Eaton Company, and Inman Motors. She married Mervin in July of 1957, and they made numerous moves between Manitoba and Saskatchewan, but ultimately Treherne, MB was the place they called home.
Throughout their moves, Mom became an expert at DIY home renovating and decorating. There really wasn't anything she couldn't do, if she put her mind to it.
Mom was a wonderful homemaker, an awesome cook, and excellent at entertaining. Their home was always open to visitors, and many laughs were had around the kitchen table. She was an avid gardener, liked to knit, and was a very good seamstress, which led her to open Faye's Fabric Store in Treherne, an accomplishment she was extremely proud of.
At Mom's request, she has been cremated, and a private family service will be held.
We would like to extend special thanks to the staff at Tuxedo Villa for the kind and compassionate care Mom received while in residence, and a special thank you to Kristin and Devon. She loved and appreciated your friendship! We would also like to extend a special thank you to Georgina for her frequent visits and kind gestures during the last year.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba in memory of Mom. Alzheimer.mb.ca
