TERENCE LEE SCOTT
December 10, 1943 - May 8, 2020
He was predeceased by his sister Pat Down. He leaves behind his partner Ryan Fleming, daughter Mercedes Jayne (Grant), stepson Marston Fleming, and brother Don Scott (Marylou).
A loyal CBC listener, Terry will be remembered as a prolific potter. A superb chef, he volunteered for years as a crew chief on La Cuisine at the Winnipeg Folk Festival. He enjoyed nature and animals by mountain biking, skiing, canoeing, and gardening. In retirement, he preferred music, books, and his family's company.
The family would like to thank the staff at CancerCare and Health Sciences Centre for their compassion and care.
A private ceremony will be scheduled at a later date.
As Terry was deeply concerned about climate change, memorial donations can be made to an environmental cause of your choice.

DEAR MERCEDES and RYAN, This notice on your Dad and your partner , describes the Terry I knew. Over the past years the visits with Terry were brief but sufficient to enjoy the wonderful dinners created by Terry and dialogues to issues and subject matters of concern. He was an active listener to CBC and he did like sports. Tour de France is a period I seemed to have visited or placed a call- then would be updated to the race. He was a very caring person, loving and proud Dad. His artistic ability to pottery evoked a Zen-like appreciation to nature. I wish I could have sat in on one of his sessions in earlier times. Keep a smile in the corner of your eye as you reflect to your life memories with Terry.
