AUDREY MAE WILLIAMS
This insidious and rare neurological disease robbed Audrey of her mobility, dignity, speech and independence but this still did not diminish her humour and friendly disposition.
Audrey grew up in Old St. Vital, first on Clonard Avenue and then Blenheim Avenue, where she attended Glenwood School and Glenlawn Collegiate. She married J. Dennis Williams in 1959 and was married until 2007 upon his passing. Audrey was a kind, giving, caring and selfless woman. Without exception, and at all times, she thought of others before herself. In 1980, Audrey and Dennis purchased Summer Fashions at Clear Lake where she worked through the summers for 25 years. As well, they also purchased Peachtree Boutique at Clear Lake during these years. Audrey made numerous friends and acquaintances throughout this time. She always did her utmost best to maintain communication through phone calls, letters, notes and cards. Friendship was absolutely cherished.
Audrey leaves to mourn her children, Nancy and Glenn; as well as grandchildren, Meredith, Ellen, Natalie, Eric, Marc and Emma; her daughter-in-law Devon; sister Blanche Link; brother-in-law Jim Murray and his wife Peggy,, and sister-in-law Pat Campbell. She was predeceased by her parents, Thomas and May Campbell; husband Dennis; brother Innis Campbell; in-laws, A.J. (Sandy) and Margaret Murray; sister-in-law Marguerite Murray; and brother-in-law Herb Link.
The family wants to thank so many people who assisted Audrey during her illness. Notable and distinguished assistance came from Devon whose concern, gentleness, dedication and consideration lessened Audrey's plight. As well, Audrey's sister Blanche and niece Charisse provided constant comfort, companionship, warmth and special treats. Also, the family is very grateful for the dedicated care provided by the staff of River Park Gardens Personal Care Home, as well as Erwin, Jetta, Bryan, Josh and Kelly.
In keeping with Audrey's request there will be no service. Cremation has taken place and Audrey will be interred at Chapel Lawn Cemetery with her husband at a later date.

Dear Glenn and Nancy, I am so sorry to hear of your moms passing. I happened to have been at Clear Lake this past weekend and heard this sad news. I adored your mom and think of her often and all the amazing times we shared at the lake. She was so good at keeping in touch with me over the years and I’m so sorry I lost touch after she left Deer Lodge. My very sincerest condolences To you and all of your family. Much love to you all.
