BERNICE (BESSIE) VIDAL
Born in Arborg, Manitoba, as a youth, adventures consisted of leading her ball team to victory, or leading in the footraces she loved. She spoke of "stealing sticks", playing with her brothers, and her school exploits. In later years she used her energy for knitting and crocheting for her friends and family. We all received the gifts of her labours. She always loved swimming in the lake and at one time she swam the ocean in Florida. She loved to gamble, here and in Las Vegas. She made many friends along the way. She had parties where she gave glimpses into the future by reading tea leaves and cutting cards. She worked hard her whole life, and never really retired, she just replaced one job with another as she aged.
She is survived by her daughter Verna; her former son-in-law Jack; and their children, Julie, Jaimie (Tim), Kim (Doug), Shireen (Wayne) and Shaliza (Dennis). Predeceased by her daughter Vivian (Howard); and survived by their children, Ralph (Corrine), Rob (Karen), Rhonda (Ken) and Rick (Kim). She also leaves behind great-grandchildren and even great-great-grandchildren. She is also remembered by many nieces and nephews, and also friends all whom she loved dearly.
Flowers are declined, but a gift of remembrance may be made to the St. Amant Foundation in her name.
A Celebration of Life will be postponed until a later time, due to Covid-19.
