VINCENT (VINCE) ALEXANDER RIGG
August 24, 1969 - June 27, 2020
He is survived by and will be terribly missed by his daughters, Sydney (Stefan), Sammie and Taryn; by his sister Mary, and his mother Mary-Jean. He will also be missed by Janice.
Vince loved spending time with his daughters. He took Sammie and Taryn camping to BC last summer and all three to Cuba in February. He was diagnosed with oral cancer and had extensive surgery in August 2019. He fought his hardest to stay to be a good influence for his daughters, but lost his valiant battle on June 27, at the age of 50.
Vince grew up in Windsor Park, lived in Calgary for several years then moved back to Winnipeg, living in Windsor Park, Island Lakes and lastly Bonavista. He played Ultimate in the summer, and curled in the winter, he also coached softball at Southdale Community Centre.
Vince graduated from Red River College Civil Engineering Technology in 1994 and he worked at 17 Wing for the Department of National Defense.
In keeping with Vince's wishes, cremation has taken place. Due to restrictions on public gatherings a private service with family and invited guests will be held. Friends are welcome to join the family for the interment service on Tuesday, July 21 at 2:45 p.m. in the St. John Cathedral Cemetery, 135 Anderson Ave., social distancing measures will apply.
In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, please make donations in memory of Vince to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation, 1160-675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.

In keeping with Vince's wishes, cremation has taken place. Due to current restrictions on public gatherings a memorial service celebrating Vince's life will be held at a later date.
