CHABLUK
June 9, 1964 - June 27, 2020

It is with great sadness we announce the sudden and tragic passing of Shonnie Josephine Marie Chabluk (Deroche) on June 27, 2020, at the age of 56 years.
Left to mourn Shonnie's passing is her husband Maurice; son Beau Basarab (Kira); daughter Jasmine Basarab; grandchildren, Quinlan, Rhiannon, Brendalynn, Amelia, Trinity, Mason and Leeland; parents, Mick and Doris Bronstein; brothers, Michael Deroche (Marie), Denis Deroche, Abbie Deroche and Guy Dodge (Marcia); sister Tammy Macleod (Troy); birth mother Laura Dodge; parents-in-law, Lawrence and Ida Chabluk; brother-in-law Richard; sisters-in-law, Bev Francis (Patrick), Louise (Phil), and Lorie (Roger); and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Shonnie was predeceased by her father Lionel Deroche.
Shonnie loved life and even though she fought a battle with COPD disease in the last few years, in and out of hospital, she never gave up. She continued to live life to its fullest and tragically while enjoying camping, with the wind blowing her hair "The Angels" embraced her into their arms.
Shonnie had a heart of gold and would offer the shirt off her back, never wanting anything back in return. We will miss her free spirit, her infectious laugh and her presence.
A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
