AMY JOY GIESBRECHT
She is survived by her parents, Abe and Regina Giesbrecht; sister Trish (Brad) and her family; brother Doug (Janessa), and many friends.
The funeral service was held on Saturday, August 15, 2020 at the Winkler Bible Camp grounds.
Amy's relationship with God inspired her to reflect God's love to everyone she met. She sang, she laughed, she served, seemingly tirelessly. Amy's dedication to others was clear, in her care for mothers and babies as a midwife. Her adventurous spirit took her to many locations and the gifts, letters and music she shared with us were rooted in her faith.
Amy's life, while unexpectedly short, was fully lived. She would take time to sit and listen to those around her, caring deeply, as she went from births, to adventures, to worship.
Our family would like to thank the health care community and the many who have cared for us, as we grieve together.
If desired, donations can be made to Mennonite Central Committee at www.mcccanada.ca, or International Justice Mission at www.ijm.ca.
