BENOIT ARTHUR DELANNOY
March 21, 1939 August 15, 2020
He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife, Frances (nee Jenken), daughters, Sherry (Dennis), Corinne and Jolene, his five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, two brothers, three sisters along with several in-laws, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Dad was born in St. Malo, MB to Jean and Marie. Mom and Dad started their married life in Esterhazy, SK where he worked in the potash mine for 12 years. They then moved to Pinawa, MB where he worked at AECL until his retirement in 2006. They moved to Winnipeg in 2005 to be closer to their children and grandchildren.
Dad enjoyed the outdoors immensely. He loved camping, boating, fishing and going off on the next road trip with his family. He was always up for another adventure.
He will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him.
The family would like to thank the staff for the wonderful care that Dad received from the palliative care ward at St. Boniface Hospital and the community palliative care nurses, Germaine and Tamara, among many others.
Cremation has taken place and a service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba.
