  • I'm sorry to hear of Bev's passing at such a young age, although I left Winnipeg 46 years ago I have many good memories of Walter and Bev. You would often see them walking down the street hand in hand smiling and happy to strike up a conversation. I was glad to see them at my Mom's 90th birthday and having a chance to converse. Bev will be missed by all that knew and loved her. - Posted by: brian malowanchuk (Family Friend) on: Sep 12, 2020

  • Walter and family I am very sorry for your loss. Bev was a wonderful lady. The tribute from Doris brought back so many nice memories of her from when we also lived in North St Vital. My mother Olga used to enjoy visiting when she came back to Winnipeg, and was so happy to see you both at her 90th birthday celebration. She will be missed - Posted by: Barry Malowanchuk (Family friend) on: Sep 10, 2020

  • My thoughts are with you Walter and Stephen and Sharon during this most difficult time. I will remember Bev, like everyone that knew her, as a kind person who always had the most positive outlook on life. I will miss her visits to our office. - Posted by: Alex zimmer (friend ) on: Sep 07, 2020

  • Beverley was my neighbour and my friend for many years. When our kids were still in school we went for walks in the evening in north St. Vital mostly along Egerton Road. We occasionally went down to the Red Top and had pie and coffee because we remembered it from when we were teenagers. Bev was very community-minded and we were both block captains in Neighbourhood Watch. We were also interested in local politics and neighbourhood improvement and served together on the Citizen's Committee of the Manitoba Winnipeg Community Revitalization Program for the Glenwood Area in the late 1990's. As a lifelong resident of St. Vital, Bev knew almost everyone and contributed many good ideas to that committee especially regarding the improvements to Morier Park and the Glenwood Community Club. I was lucky to get to know Bev fairly well over the years but you didn't need to know her well to see what a kind person she was. It was obvious in everything she did, in service to community members and the wider world on behalf of her church, to young people, to the aged and to people struggling with poverty or loneliness. On top of all that she was cheerful, funny and humble and an example to us all. - Posted by: Doris Ames (Friend) on: Sep 05, 2020

  • I would like to send my condolences to Bev's family on her demise. I would like to share a quote with Bev's family. Bev has not died, but merely gone away, to a better place, free of pain and suffering. We will see her again some day. Rest In Peace Bev, You are loved and will be missed. - Posted by: Patricia Homenick (Acquaintance at St. Mary's Road United Church Foodbank) on: Sep 05, 2020
