ANNIE NEUFELD
1929 - 2020

On Friday, September 4, 2020, with her family at her side; our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother peacefully went to be with her Lord and Saviour.
Annie was predeceased by her loving husband, Ben Neufeld, one grandson, Ryan Neufeld, and all of her 10 brothers and sisters.
She is survived by one daughter, Karen, two sons: Gord (Sher) and Kelvin (Caroline); and her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mom was born in Hordean, Manitoba on November 15, 1929, to Peter and Susanna Hiebert. She grew up on the family farm, five miles from Hordean.
Anne and Ben were married on October 25, 1953. Shortly after marrying, Mom and Dad moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba. Mom was a homemaker who took delight in her family. Always ensuring a neat, tidy, well-organized home and dinner on the table at 5:00 p.m.
She was the best grandmother, who loved her grandkids unconditionally and was always excited when they came to visit. Rocky Road cake and Rice Krispie cake ready for them each visit. When the kids were younger, puffed wheat was the treat of choice. Mom would say, "You can never spend enough time with your grandchildren."
Giving her heart to the Lord at the age of 14, she was baptized on her faith at age 19. She trusted in the Lord early on and her faith never waivered through her life battles.
Mom enjoyed singing and sang in choirs as a young girl and continued to do so until a few years ago. Spending time in fellowship with friends through song, brought her great joy.
She was gentle, positive, had a great sense of humour, always cheerful, with a smile for everyone. Mom was open and welcoming, always ready to take in a new family member.
Mom was small in stature but a great and powerful prayer warrior. She prayed for each family member daily. When she prayed, God listened. We will miss those prayers.
The family would like to thank Dr. Corne Van Rensburg, Dr. Andrew Cooke and the Palliative Care nurses for their exceptional care and compassion given to our mother and grandmother.
As per Mom's request, a private family service was held.
If friends so desire, donations in memory of Annie may be made to Union Gospel Mission, PO Box 1073 STN Main, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3C 2X4.
