SLACK: Howard Alton Slack passed away at the Melita Health Centre on Wednesday, December 31, 2008 at the age of 82. He was predeceased by his wife Anne; parents Henry & Grace (Steele) Slack; brothers Charlie and Gordon (Isobelle); sister Lorene Cullen; two sisters-in-law: Dot Slack and Betty (Alex) Couvier; 4 brothers-in-law: Bill Mckay, Bill Heichert, Steve Czechmeister and Joe Czechmeister. Howard is survived by his four children: son Murray (Doreen) and children Kelly Ann (Rob), Ricky and Jeremy, son Brad (Janis) and children Jessica and Joshua; daughter Grace (Jim) Carr and children Delbert and Brandi, daughter Melanie (Sandy) Drier and children Taylor and Colt; three brothers: Orville, Floyd and Albert (Shirley); three sisters: Hazel Plews, Hattie (Ernie) Deeg and Bertha (Leo) Chicoine. A private family burial will take place at a later date. Donations may be given to the Melita Palliative Care Fund Box 459, Melita, Manitoba, R0M 1L0, or to the charity of your choice.
