MALLETT: Marjorie Isobel Mallett (nee Spiller). With great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Marjorie Mallet on Sunday, January 25, 2009 in her residence at the Lions Prairie Manor at the age of 82 years. She was predeceased by her husband Roy; parents Tom and Bertha Spiller and sisters Doreen Dutka and Isabel Koroscil. Marjorie will be lovingly remembered by her siblings Cameron (Jean) Spiller of Portage la Prairie, Joyce (Frank) Coles of Penticton, B.C., Eileen (Don) Webb of Portage la Prairie, Lyle (Betty) Spiller of Flin Flon and brother-in-law Les Koroscil of Fort Langley, B.C. along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. Marjorie was born and educated in Cardale, Manitoba. She married Roy Mallett on June 27, 1959. Marjorie worked in Rivers at the Rudys Bakery and Taylors Hardware and in Erickson at the Co-op store. She was always neat and tidy and enjoyed cooking, camping, fishing, ski-dooing and dancing. Marjorie and Roy later retired to McAuley and attended many hockey and ballgames in McAuley and area. Marjorie liked to have a good time with friends. She will be fondly remembered for her willingness to help anyone at anytime. Memorial Service will be held Thursday, January 29, 2009 at 1:30 pm (please note the time) in Lions Prairie Manor Chapel led by Rev. Beth Kerr. With the winter weather, please use the main 9th Street entrance to attend. As expressions of sympathy, if friends so wish, donations may be made in Marjories memory to Lions Prairie Manor Foundation, 24 9th Street S.E., Portage la Prairie, Manitoba, R1N 3V4.
