FONTANA: James Barry. With family by his side, on January 25, 2009, James at the age of 33, left his loved ones to begin a new journey on Heaven’s Highway. James was born on September 18th, 1975 in Hamiota, Manitoba. James resided in Bassano, Alberta at the time of his passing. He will be sadly missed by his Mother, Lorna Hodgins, Father Barry Fontana(Cyndi), Brother Jeffrey Fontana(Zana, Morgan, Maddie), Sister Shannon Bayes(Darcy, Logan) and partner Lynette Klein (Harley) and numerous relatives and friends. To celebrate James’ life, service will be held at Rapid City, Manitoba on February 9, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. in the Legion Hall. Reverend Barb Jardine will officiate. In honour of James’ life, a memorial will be held in the spring of 2009 in Bassano, Alberta. In memory of James, if friends so desire, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of their choice in lieu of flowers. A complete obituary will follow at a later date.My Last RideMy hands are clenched around chrome bars.The engine’s rumble sounds so sweet.I twist the throttle with my palms.The world slips by beneath my feet.The slapping of my leathersand raging winds on either side,drum a beat of sweet contentmentas I ride this….my last ride.Alone on my tin pony,to the heavens I’ve been called,but fret not, my dear loved ones,I’m not lonely here at all.The landscape now is just a bluras tears stream from my eyes.My bike and I leap forward,off into the calling skies.I hope I touched your lives one dayand left a treasured mark.Now I ride on to FOREVER,With your memory in my heart.
