MAUNDER: David Richard. July 8, 1942 - January 26, 2009. Suddenly on January 26, David passed away at Brandon Regional Health Centre. David was born, raised and completed his schooling in Winnipeg. He is survived by his wife Jo-Ann; daughter Patti -Jo (Steve Cannon); sons Tim and Todd (Tammy); and son-in -law Clive Popovits. Grandchildren: Samantha and Megan (Chris) (Mia, great- granddaughter). William, Nicholas, Tawnee and Tegan, twins- Kiera and Brynn and Finn David. Two brothers Tom and Randy also survive. David was predeceased by his daughter Pam Popovits in November 2008. David worked for the City of Winnipeg Hydro, transferring to the Waterworks Department in 1961. He continued employment until 1983 when the family moved to Brandon where David worked as Supervisor of the Water Distribution Section until his retirement in 1999. David was involved in many work related seminars throughout Western Canada over the years and was always willing to lend his expertise to any operator who asked. David was a member of the MWWA, Life Member of the WCWWA, Brandon Aquarium Club, Barbershop Harmony Society since 1972, Boy Scouts of Canada (as a Leader of Handicapped Boys for 16 years). David enjoyed his family, his home and yard, singing with the Barbershop Chorus and Quartets, restoring his Model A Ford(s), raising Angelfish, his English Bulldogs, weekend fishing trips with his sons, annual trips to Nipawin, great friends and good neighbors, especially lending a handwherever and whenever needed. The Ceremony to Celebrate David's Life will beheld at Memories Chapel, 330-18th Street North on Monday, February 2, 2009 at 1:30 pm. Capt. Bill Preston of Dinsdale Home will officiate. Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations in memory of David may be made to the Brandon Regional Health Centre Foundation, for Palliative Care, 150 McTavish Avenue East, Brandon, Manitoba, R7A 2B3 or to a charity of choice.Expressions of sympathy may be made at www.memorieschapel.com.
