CARGO: (née Pratt), Marianne Lynn. It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Marianne. Marianne passed away peacefully at her home in Neepawa on Saturday, January 31, 2009. She was born on July 15, 1968. Marianne is survived by her husband Jonathan Cargo, her son Leland, her sister Vanessa Pratt, niece Joelana (Joseph Taylor), nephews Frank Jr. and Colton Tacan. She also leaves behind her extended siblings sisters Carol, Arlene (Eddie), Debbie (Ren), Tracy (Matthew), Connie; brothers Tim (Phoenix), Ernie (Gloria) and Dennis (Cynthia) Blacksmith; her uncles Terry, Ken (Elaine), Kelly (Michelle) Pratt; aunties Barbara (Ron), Judy, Olivia (Randy), Corinne (Neil), Dalyce (Owen) and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. Marianne was predeceased by her mother Janice Pratt in 1995; father Clifford Blacksmith in 2006; grandmothers Hilda Pratt and Jennie Blacksmith, grandfathers Daniel Wambdiska and Jim Blacksmith. A memorial service will be held at Brockie-Donovan, 332 8th Street, on Wednesday, February 4th, at 7:00 p.m. A traditional ceremony will be held at Sioux Valley Veterans Hall on Thursday, February 5th starting at 10:00 a.m. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. and interment will follow at the Pratt Family Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jeremy Cargo, Bradley Pratt, Mark Hall, James Pratt, Donald Whitecloud, Stacey Pratt. Honorary pallbearers are Jackie Branth, Kerri Derbyshire, Lisa Antoine Taylor, R. Gail Taylor, Alex Mazawasicuna, Matthew Henderson. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Diabetes Association, 727B 10th Street, Brandon, Manitoba, R7A 4G7.
