WATTS: Alberta Bernice (Bunny) of Brandon, passed away at home on Friday, January 30, 2009 at the age of 65 years. Bernice was born in The Pas, Manitoba on November 7, 1943. After completing school she worked at R.H. Williams Dental Lab until she moved to Thompson in 1962 and married Derland Watts. Her three children were born there and the family moved to Brandon in 1966. She worked at Sunset Haven Nursing Home and then Kmart until her retirement. She enjoyed curling, cribbage, floor shuffleboard and loved cooking and her garden. Bernice was predeceased by her husband Derland, her parents Earl and Alberta Wilson; brother Earl; sisters Verna and Shirley. She leaves to mourn her passing son Danny (Toni), daughters Rhonda and Gidget (Todd), eleven wonderful grandchildren, two great grandchildren and her brother Alvin Wilson (Cheryl) of The Pas. She is also survived by sisters and brothers-in-law; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. In keeping with Bernice’s wishes cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held. To celebrate Bernice’s life, family and friends are invited to a Come and Go Tea at the George Brockie Fellowship Centre, 332 – 8th Street, Brandon on Friday, February 6, 2009 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, Unit 3, 824 – 18th Street, Brandon, Manitoba, R7A 5B7.
