VINCK: Zelia Louisa Vinck passed away peacefully at Hartney Personal Care Home Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at the age of 88. Zelia was born at Belleview on May 8, 1920 to Desire and Lea Dogniez, the second of three daughters. Zelia married John Vinck of Grande Clairiere on June 14, 1939 and farmed in the Lauder district until 1971 when they moved to Hartney. She moved to Hartney Personal Care Home in 2002. She loved her family deeply and enjoyed visiting with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a great cook and liked to knit and crochet for family and friends. She looked forward to visit with friends, be it in her home or on the telephone. Zelia is survived by her son Des (Marie) Vinck and two granddaughters: Michelle (Eric) Kobs and their three daughters, Sydney, Whitney and Avery; Melanie Vinck (Chris Kraning) and their daughter Maya. She is also survived by her sister Marceline Gofflot, sisters-in -law Germaine Dubreuil, Elise Vinck, Aline Vinck and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband John on July 12, 1974, infant daughter Alice in 1941, and sister Gilberte Gofflot. Prayer service was held Friday, January 30 at Kowalchuks Funeral Chapel in Souris. Funeral mass was Saturday, January 31, 2009 at St. Jeans Catholic Church in Grande Clairiere with celebrant Father Raju Madanu. Organist was Carmen Logeot and choir; ushers were John Martin and Maurice Bertholet; altar server Dylan Murphy and eulogy Paulette Rey. Pallbearers were Adrian Bertholet, Garry Drummond, Edward Dubreuil, Richard Lamouline, David Mahy and Clair Vinck. Interment in Grande Clairiere Cemetery.
