BOLAN: Maurice Lawrence Larry Born in Brandon Manitoba, September 12th 1939. Passed peacefully surrounded by his families and loved ones. Saturday, February 21, 2009, in Maple Ridge B.C. He was pre-deceased by his mother and father and two brothers. He is survived by his wife Geri, three children, Cindy (Jim), Toby (Kimberly) and Darren and three step children, Shaughn (Rob), Michelle (Todd) and Nathan (Shannon) and 11 grandchildren. He will be lovingly remembered by his niece Gail (Len) and nephew Mark (Slavica) and families, his brother in law Nigel(Bobbie) and sister-in-law Georgina (Ron). Larry moved to the west coast to be near his children and so began a long career with Speedy Auto Glass, where he worked until his retirement. Larry loved golf and could always make time for a round with his friends or family. Life threw a few curve balls Larrys way but he never lost his sense of humor. He always put others first and never liked to be the centre of attention. He was always the gentleman. Larrys struggle with lung cancer was handled with dignity and humor. To Toby who stayed with Larry at the hospital, thankyou. To Michelle who allowed me to care for Larry, thankyou. To Dr Fernandes and to the staff on 2 West thankyou for your honesty, care and compassion. A small private remembrance will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, a donation to a charity of your choice is appreciated. An Irishman is never drunk as long as he can hold on to one blade of grass and not fall off the face of the earth.
