CHORPITA: Mary Chorpita passed away April 3, 2009, on her husbands birthday, age 90, formerly of Yorkton, Saskatchewan. She joined us in Brandon to be closer to family. Following a stroke she moved to Dinsdale Personal Care Home where she enjoyed her care givers, residents and family till her sudden illness. She was a wonderful, dedicated person to her family and friends. Great Hostess, always ready to entertain. Surviving are three daughters, Marjorie Green, Alexander, Manitoba, Evelyn Adams of Mayerthorpe, Alberta and Crystal and Mike Szabo of Weyburn, Saskatchewan. Two sisters Lena, of Surrey, British Columbia, Iris of Nanoose Bay, British Columbia. Grandchildren, Cathy, Scott, Tiffany and Tara Green, Jeff and Dean Adams and Jason McDonald. Great-grandchildren Karalee, Annalise, Lance and Landon Adams. Special thanks to Captains Velma and Bill and all staff of Dinsdale and Father Mel Slashinsky for his final blessing, support to Mom and family before and at the time of her death. Thanks to the many friends, neighbours, caring staff and residents for their prayers, cards and words of kindness during Moms stay and illness. Donations may be made to The Salvation Army, in memory of Mary. Thank you also to Vern Schneider of Memories Chapel for his part.
