EVANS: Brian Hamilton Evans - August 25, 1941 to April 13, 2009. After a lengthy illness bravely endured, Brian passed away quietly in the Palliative Care Unit of Riverview Health Centre. He is survived by his sons Brian and Brock, his brother William (Nadia), his niece Shauna (Timothy Friesen) and his nephew David Evans. He was predeceased by his parents, Harold and Mary Evans. Brian was born and grew up in Brandon, Manitoba. During his youth he was very active in athletics, winning many awards as a team player and as an individual competitor. The adult portion of his life was spent working in various aspects of the automotive industry in Brandon, Kelowna, Calgary and Winnipeg. The family wishes to express their gratitude to Valerie Windross and to the care givers at Homecare, Grace Hospital and Riverview Health Centre for the help and kindnness they gave Brian during his last years. In keeping with Brian's wishes, there will not be a memorial service.The family will hold a private ceremony for the internment of his ashes at a later date.
