Margaret was born October 22, 1917 in Brandon, Manitoba where she grew up and obtained her schooling. She graduated as a Registered Nurse from Brandon School of Nursing in 1940. While nursing in Brandon, she met Alvin and they celebrated their marriage July 17, 1945.  Margaret continued her nursing career in Brandon until the birth of her children when she chose to remain at home until they were older.  In 1960, they moved to Ninette, Manitoba where she rejoined the work force nursing at the Ninette Sanatorium for eight years and was very active in the community. After a brief move to Davidson, Saskatchewan and then back to Brandon, they retired to Ninette, the town they loved, where they spent many happy years. In 2002 they moved to Lake Country, B.C. to be closer to family where she resided until her passing.  Mum was a wonderful mother and friend.  She leaves a lasting impression on those who had the privilege to know and love her. At her request, burial will take place at a later date in Ninette. Donations in memory of Margaret Dickie may be made to Brandon School Division Friend of Education Fund, 1031-6th St. Brandon, Manitoba, R7A 4K5.
