WILLIAMS: Victoria Marion (nee MacDonald) Williams, beloved wife of the late Cliff Williams, passed away peacefully at 90 years of age on April 22, 2009 at Fairview Home in Brandon. Vicki was born on Armistice Day, November 11, 1918 in Isabella, Manitoba. After having lost both her parents by the age of12, she was soon earning her keep with families that needed help with household chores. At 17, while working in Solsgirth, Manitoba, she met her future partner for life, Cliff. Their lives separated them until they unexpectedly reunited five years later in Brandon. Though again, they faced parting, while Cliff served in the Maritimes during the war, it wasn't long before Vicki joined him in North Sydney, Nova Scotia and they were married on March 14, 1942. At the end of the war, they settled into southwestern Manitoba with their newly arrived daughter Donna Fay. It was also here that they welcomed Bill to their family. They made countless friends, and enjoyed pastimes such as following the harness racing and golfing. Vicki was an avidquilter and her sewing room was always full of projects that she loved to make for others. Vicki and Cliff were inseparable until his passing in 1997. Vicki will be remembered by all her friends and family for her giving nature, and ever-present sense of humour. She was always free for a phone call or a visit to lend an ear. Victoria was predeceased by her mother Mary, father Malcolm, infant son Glenn and husband Cliff Williams. She is survived by her daughter Donna Fay Hardy, son Bill (Rozanne) Williams, granddaughters: Heather Lynn Hardy, Carrie Lee (Russ) Klemmer, Krista (Gary) Seymour, Vicki (Tim) Williams, and great-grandchildren Jared and Samantha Klemmer. A Graveside Ceremony will be held at a later date at the Miniota Cemetery. Donations in memory of Vicki may be made to the Brandon Regional Health Centre Foundation, 150 McTavish Avenue East, Brandon, Manitoba, R7A2B3. Special thanks to the staff at Fairview Home for their attention and care during this difficult time. Expressions of sympathy may be made atwww.memorieschapel.com.
