HOTSON: We regret to announce the death of Noreen Evelyn Hotson at Vernon Jubilee Hospital on April 25, 2009, at the age of 92 years. Noreen has been a resident of Vernon for 28 years. She was predeceased by her husband Jack and brothers Edwin and Albert. Noreen is survived by three daughters: Janeen Dillistone and partner Norm Gallant of Vernon, Linda (Jack) Nixon of Ottawa, and Gay (Martin) Bruce of Sidney, British Columbia; six grandchildren: Tom, Laura (Todd), Todd (Johanne), Jennifer, Wendy (Stephen) and Mark; five great-grandchildren: Ewan, Kyler, Marlo, Matthew and Warren; one sister, Ella (Bill) Simpson of Grande Prairie as well as nieces, nephews and extended family members. There will be no service by request. In lieu of flowers, donation in memory of Noreen can be made to the North Okanagan Hospice Society, 3506 27 Avenue, Vernon, V1T 1S4 or to Santas Anonymous Society, #2 4320 29 Street, Vernon, V1T 5B8.There is only one thing I ask of you all;No sad tears for me,for most of lifes emotions have been mine.Recall me instead with a smileas the Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother or Friendwho shared your laughter and tears.I loved you all, so please remember meand find strength in the times we shared.Arrangements are in the care of Vernon Funeral Home 250-542-0155.
