RENNICK: It is with profound sadness the family of Glenn Rennick announces his death following a fall in late January from which he never recovered. Glenn passed away at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Thursday, April 30, 2009. He was born at Croll, Manitoba on January 15, 1923. The family farmed in the area, where Glenn received his early education, and later moved to Brandon. Glenn served in the Royal Canadian Air Force overseas from 1940 -1943. In 1944 he married Zena Carefoot and they enjoyed sixty-four years of marriage. Glenn began his career with the T. Eaton Company, becoming a successful business owner of the Trade Fair Exchange for twenty years. Later his business interests included Sekine Bicycles and Fleece Line Ventures. Glenn was an active member of the Kinsmen Club of Brandon for many years. He had a keen interest in all sports, was an avid golfer and enjoyed tennis. Glenn and Zena spent many winters in Palm Springs, enabling him to play sports all year round. Summers were spent at the family cottage at Clear Lake, which he dearly loved. Glenn leaves behind his beloved wife, Zena, his daughter, Heather and husband Bob Buchanan; grandsons, Chris (Andrea) and Andrew. There are two great grandchildren, Kailey and Garrett. He was predeceased by: his mother Lola; father, Arthur; a brother, Jack and sisters: Vera Haskin and Marjorie Gardner. A private graveside ceremony and a celebration of Glenn's life will be held at a later date. Announcement of the Celebration time and place will follow closer to the planned event.
