STASILA: The death of Robert (Bob) Stasila of Brandon, occurred at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Wednesday, May 6, 2009. Bob was born on November 23, 1954 in Brandon to John and Velma Stasila. He lived in the north end where he enjoyed visiting with his grandparents and fishing in the river. Bob received his high school diploma and also graduated from ACC in Marketing. Bob was a very social person who enjoyed the company of his many friends and loved to tell jokes. Bob worked for the CN Railway for 35 years and also at Webber Printing in sales. Bob enjoyed hunting and fishing for which he received many trophies. He also loved cooking, which he was very good at! Bob belonged to the Westman Bowhunters Association, Brandon Wildlife Association, Manitoba Wildlife Federation, Brandon Gun Club and the Sokol Association. Bob is predeceased by his parents John and Velma. He is survived by daughters: Kylie and Erin Stasila; son Jeff Kroeker; grandson,Eden Kroeker; sister, Helen (Garry) Yonda; brother Larry (Bonnie) Stasila and uncles: Stan, Frank (Anne). Funeral Service was held at Memories Chapel, on Saturday, May 9, 2009. Fr. Joseph Choji of St. Augustine's Roman Catholic Church officiated. Urn Bearers were Bob's children: Kylie, Erin and Jeff. Flowers gratefully declined. Donations in memory of Bob may be made to a Fund For Bob's Children c/o Westoba Credit Union or to a charity of choice.Expressions of sympathy may be made at www.memorieschapel.com. Arrangements were with Memories Chapel and Pre-Planning Centre 727-0330.
