WOLOSCHUK: Daisy Joan Woloschuk, passed away at Hillcrest Place on Monday, May 25, 2009. Daisy was born on March 25, 1925 at Hurst, Sussex, England. In 1943, she married John Woloschuk. John and Daisy moved to Canada in 1944. Daisy resided in Douglas until 1981, when she moved to Brandon. She was employed at C.F.B. Shilo, working in the kitchen of the Mess Hall. She was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion No. 3 and the 77 Club. Daisy enjoyed being with family and friends. Her hobbies included, Knitting, traveling with companion Hildegard Turnball and dancing with friend, Felix Grant. She is survived by her children: Annette (Larry) Gendron, Wendy (Patrick) Parsons, Deborah (Reginald) Zeller; three grandchildren: Sean (Christine) Schrot and great-grandson Dylan; Jason Schrot and Heidi Parsons. Daisy was predeceased by her husband John Woloschuk; two brothers and three sisters. The Ceremony to Celebrate Daisy's Life will be held at Memories Chapel, 330-18th Street North on Saturday, May 30, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Shannon McCarthy of Central United Church will officiate. A private family interment will be held. Donations in memory of Daisy may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #3, 560 13th Street East, Brandon, Manitoba, R7A 7C1. The family would like to thank the staff at Hillcrest Place for their care and compassion.
