MANSOFF: James (Jim) Arthur passed away suddenly on Friday, June 26, 2009 at the Brandon Regional Health Centre at the age of 81. Jim was born in Brandon, Manitoba on September 25, 1927, the third child born to Fred and Miriam Mansoff. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Iris, and four children, Betty (John) Deruyter of Medicine Hat, Alberta, Bonnie (Rod) Koltusky of Camrose, Alberta, Barry (Della) Mansoff and Darrell (Sharon) Mansoff of Brandon, Manitoba. Grandchildren: Chris (Paulette) Hay, Carmen (Dan) Paterson, Jennifer Deruyter, Joshua Koltusky, Jordan (Ronica) Koltusky, Brianne (Eric), Brock Mansoff, Travis (Michelle) Mansoff, Harland and Lindsay Mansoff. Great grandchildren: Ross and Jake Paterson, Colin and Brett Hay and Coral Koltusky. Sister Peg Clark and sisters-in-law Peg and Ruth Mansoff, brothers and sisters-in-law Bob (Darlene) Anstett, Marg Anstett and Evelyn (Joe) Sharpe and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Fred and Miriam Mansoff, brothers Bill and Ed Mansoff, father and mother-in-law Lloyd and Sophia Anstett. Jim attended school in Brandon. He was in Sea Cadets at the young age of 15. He had several occupations over the years as a coal shoveler for a local company, driver for Perths, part owner of Brandon Frame and Wheel, mechanic at Andys Body Shop, Brandon Auto and Western Motors. He then returned to the family business upon his fathers retirement and continued there until his retirement at the age of 65. His greatest joy was spending time at the lake fishing, golfing and enjoying the company of family and friends. Jim had many hobbies hunting, fishing, bowling, golfing, curling and the past few years he had been a season ticket holder of the Brandon Wheat Kings. The Funeral Service was held at Central United Church on July 2, 2009 with Mr. Lawrence McInnes, Brockie Donovan Funeral Celebrant, officiating. Interment followed at the Brandon Cemetery.
