POOLE: Donalda (Donnie) Lillian Poole passed away June 20, 2009 at her residence at Rideau Park Personal Care Home at the age of 85. She was predeceased by her parents, Anne and Arthur Smith, two brothers Bob and Don,and her daughter Lori Poole. Donnie is survived by her children Lynda (Murray) Demanski, Ron (Trina) Poole, Gary Poole (Giselle Charette), Lisa (Rob) Moore. Grandchildren Stacey, Ryan, Tod, Cassie, Alicia, Elise, Cody,Garett, Wyatt and Kyle and great-grandchildren Ashla, Kingsten, Simon, Hayli and Hunter. Also surviving are sister Gwen and sister-in-law Irene. She wasa stay at home mom until her kids were grown. She then went to work as a hostess, then worked as a pharmacy assistant at the Brandon Regional Hospital until her retirement. She was an honorary lifetime member of the Kinette Club. In her later years she enjoyed her grandchildren, reading, doing crossword puzzles, watching TV game shows (while playing along). She also spent many hours knitting mitts which she donated to Brandon School kids. Mom was loving, supportive and the strongest woman we knew, fighting a courageous five year battle with bone cancer. Funeral Service was held Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at Memories Chapel with interment at the Brandon Cemetery. Urn bearer was Murray Demanski.
