TREMBLAY: Robert “Bobby” - February 3, 1932 - July 18, 2009. It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Bobby Tremblay, husband, brother, father, pepere and great-grandpepere at the tender age of 77 (even though he always said he was 78). We feel truly blessed to have been touched by his love, his big Tremblay strength and his most joyous ability to show affection by mischievous teasing. We are inspired and comforted by the way he faced his own mortality with unbelievable courage, grace and dignity. Cancer may have won this round of barooche, dad, but in the end it couldn’t win the game, because this time love was the surprise trump card you tossed on the table. As the patriarch of an enormous loving family, he leaves to mourn and celebrate his life, his loving sweetheart of 50 years of marriage, Marie-Anne (nee Fafard), five children, Suzanne (Allan) Wushke, Julie (Keith) Palaniuk, Joey (Cory) Tremblay, Philippe (Lise) Tremblay, Dianne (Michael) Norton, 12 wonderful grandchildren Amy, Sarah, Marty, Owen, Nathan, Jeremy, Jodie, Aaron, Gaetan, Chloe, Manon, and Tyrell, two beautiful great-grandchildren, Katelyn and Claire. He is also survived by four brothers, and two sisters and a plethora of nieces and nephews and dear, dear friends. Bob was born and raised in St. Lazare, Manitoba and for 45 years lived in the Ste. Marthe/Rocanville area. He was a masterful self-taught mechanic who worked for various businesses, such as Fouillard’s Garage, Fenwicks Construction, Permanent Concrete, completing his career with the Potash Corporation of Saskatchewan. A celebration of his life will take place at 2:00 p.m. on July 23, 2009 at St. Alphonse’s Church in Rocanville, Saskatchewan. A family interment ceremony will be held at the Ste. Marthe Cemetery at a future date. In lieu of flowers, those so willing can make a donation to the Palliative Care Unit at the Pasqua Hospital in Regina or the Moosomin Hospital. We warmly acknowledge all those angels of mercy (you know who you are) from these two health care facilities. Dad was blessed by your compassion. To all of you who knew Bobby well, and are mourning his passing, trust he is watching you with a most mischievous glint in his eye and saying “hey you, smile if you’re ugly”. We miss you dad. Call us when you get there.Arrangements entrusted to G. R. Carscadden Funeral Chapel Moosomin. Email or sign the online book of condolences at carscaddenfuneralchapel.com
