LANZ (nee BERGWALL): Heather Dawn March 8, 1953 - July 12, 2009. Withheavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Heather on July 12, 2009 in Vancouver, B.C. Heather was born at the Womens' Pavillion in Winnipeg on March 8, 1953. After living in Winnipeg for three years the family moved to Erickson where Heather began her schooling. After grade one, the family moved to Brandon where she attended school at David Livingston,Earl Haig and the Brandon Collegiate. After graduating from high school, Heather attended the Brandon University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree. Later Heather attended the University of British Columbiaand received her MBA. Over the years she worked at the Brandon Clinic Pharmacy, the Royal Bank in Vancouver, Boeing Computer Service and Computer Associates. At the time of Heather's passing she was self employed, working as a Software Consultant and Accounts System Analyst. Heather was a member of the YMCA and was very active in judo, tennis, swimming and biking. Heather was also interested in photography, drama, cooking and playing bridge. She loved the ocean and enjoyed going to the cottage and spending time at the beach. Her outgoing personality made it easy for her to meetpeople and she formed many lasting friendships. Heather is survived by her mother Velda, brother Brett (Leona). Heather was predeceased by her father Keith in 2002. A Graveside Service will be held at Rosewood Memorial Gardens on Tuesday, August 18, 2009 at 11:00 am. Mr. Lawrence McInnes will officiate. Urn Bearer will be Greg Stothard. Memorial donations in memory of Heather may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Office B- 727-10th Street, Brandon, Manitoba, R7A 4G7or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 3 - 824 18th Street, Brandon, MB, R7A 5B7.
