TURNBULL: Charlie Turnbull of Brandon, beloved husband of Val, passed away peacefully while surrounded by love on September 3, 2009 at the Brandon Regional Health Center at 86 years of age. Charlie is survived by his sister Flora Shoemaker, and his three sons, Ronald (April); Kenneth (Peggy); and Edward (Karen); as well as 7 step-children, 22 grandchildren and 12 1/2 great-grandchildren. Charlie dedicated his life to two things, his family and the Canadian Armed Forces, where he served 29 years. A service to celebrate Charlie’s life and love will be held at Brockie Donovan Chapel, 332-8th St. Brandon on Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at 1 pm Rev. Joe Ball officiating. Private interment at Brandon Cemetery to follow.
