LOWE: Jean Miriam 1921-2009. Passed away peacefully on September 15, 2009 at Brandon Regional Health Centre with her family by her side. Jean was born May 1, 1921 in Saskatchewan and was the youngest and last survivor of three children born to William and Sadie Beatty. Jean married Roy Lowe in 1952 and had three daughters. Jean was as active member in the Austin Community and a member of the Austin United Church. Jean relocated to Brandon in 1994. She was predeceased by her parents William and Sadie Beatty; her husband Roy Lowe in 1958; her special sons- in-law Walter Gray and Harold Hulbert; sister Reba Makinson and brother Claud Beatty; brothers- in-law William Makinson, Jack Leslie, Carl Jedel, Ralph Lowe and Tom Ayers and sister- in-law Gladys Beatty. Leaving to cherish her memory are her three daughters Karen Hulbert of Brandon, Manitoba, Donna Gray of Mississauga, Ontario and Betty Lowe of Brandon, Manitoba; four very special grandchildren Erin Gray of Santa Cruz, California, Kevin Hulbert of Toronto, Ontario, Lisa Hulbert of Edinburgh, Scotland and Matthew Gray of Mississauga, Ontario; as well as one brother-in-law; numerous sisters-in-law; nieces and nephews. A service to celebrate Jeans life will be held on Friday, September 18, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the MacGregor United Church. A private graveside service will follow at a later date. The family wishes to thank the staff at Valley View Lodge for the excellent care provided to Jean as a resident there. Special thanks to Dr. Caplan and the team on the 200 surgical ward for the compassionate and attentive care given to Jean and her family during her stay.
