DUSHNICKY: Linda Ann Dushnicky passed away peacefully, with her family at her side, in the Russell Hospital on Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at the age of 53 years. She leaves to mourn her husband Lawrence Dushnicky, daughter Bonny Stowe (Gerwin), and sons Michael and Nick, sister Bonny (Robert) Wynnobel, brother Fred (Theresa) Geisler, mother-in-law Rose Dushnicky, sister-in-law Janet Brown, brother-in-laws Eugene, Ernest and Leonard (Karen) Dushnicky and many neices and nephews. Linda was predeceased by parents Louie and Bertha Geisler. Linda was born on February 13, 1956 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The family moved to Selkirk a few years later where Linda was educated and made life long friendships. Following a short career in advertising at Eatons she moved to Beulah where she married and raised her three children. She worked as the Postmaster in Beulah and as a health care assistant in Hamiota and made many friends. She took every opportunity to enjoy time with her children and created many wonderful memories for them to cherish. Her hobbies included painting, doll collecting, walking and photography. Her greatest joy was having time to nurture her many friendships over a cup of tea. Linda approached everything she did with a positive attitude and a keen sense of intelligence. She approached this unexpected challenge with incredible dignity. Those who wish may make a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society - Liver Research, 415 1st St, Brandon, Manitoba, R7A 2W8. The family wishes to extend thanks to Dr Pieterse and the staff of the Russell Hospital for their compassionate care extended to Linda. A celebration of Linda's life will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Beulah Community Hall in Beulah, Manitoba.
