NICHOLLS: Laurence Allan Nicholls of Brandon passed away at his residence, Hillcrest Place, on November 11, 2009. Laurence was born on November 3, 1934 in Wawanesa, MB, the youngest of 11 children born to Edward and Mary Nicholls. He had seven sisters and three brothers. The majority of his adult life was spent living and working in British Columbia. In 1999, Laurence relocated to Brandon from Kelowna due to health problems and was a resident of Hillcrest Place Personal Care Home until his passing at the age of 75 years. Laurence was predeceased by his father William Edward Nicholls; mother Florence Mary Nicholls; sisters Clara Parish, Eva Nicholls, Ethel Taylor; brother Gordon Nicholls; sister-in-law Freda Nicholls; brothers- in-law Douglas Sherred, Joseph Kram, Walter Parish, Alfred (Alfie) Rourke, Dean Taylor and John Perks. Laurence is survived by sisters Lillian Sherred, Evelyn Rourke, Florence Perks, all of Brandon, MB, Freda Kram, Wawanesa, MB; brothers Fraser Nicholls, Edward (Marion) Nicholls, of Brandon, MB, and numerous nieces and nephews. Laurence was laid to rest at a private family graveside service on Monday, November 16, 2009 at Rosewood Memorial Gardens.Messages of condolence may be placed at www.brockiedonovan.com
