RODY: Leanne Barbara Rody passed away at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Friday, November 13, 2009 at the age of 46 years. Leanne was born on August 12, 1963 in Winnipeg, MB. Her father worked for the Armed Forces, which led to lots of travelling in her younger years. The family finally settled in Shilo, MB and Leanne eventually made Brandon her home. Leanne loved reading, playing cards, board games and spending time with her family and friends. We will miss her sense of humor and quick comebacks. She will be sadly missed. Leanne is survived by her father Jack Rody; sister Shani (Doug) Kitsch and their children Chelsea, Garrett and Nathan (Natedogg) Kitsch; sister Lisa Rody-Biccum and her son John Farkes; half brothers Leonard Peltier, Ken Stone and Darrell Peltier. Leanne was predeceased by her mother Barbara Rody and infant son, Michael Rody. A memorial service was held at the Brockie Donovan Chapel on Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Joe Ball officiating. A luncheon followed at the Sprucewoods Community Hall. Burial alongside with her mother will take place at the Chapel Lawn Cemetery, Winnipeg, MB at a later date.
