GERRARD: Gordon Harold Gerrard of Brandon, age 93, formerly of Thunder Bay, Ontario passed away at the Assiniboine Centre on Novemeber 25, 2009 surrounded by his family. Gordon will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 59 years, Yvonne; daughters Suzanne (Marny Tsai) and Patty (Terry Gryschuk); and grandchildren Shamus Pridy, and Dustin and Lauren Gryschuk; as well as many relatives, and friends. Gord was proud of his 42 year career with the TD Bank. During these many years he worked in Sudbury, London, Fort William, Toronto, Chatham, and Winnipeg. After retirement in 1979, Gord and Yvonne moved to Victoria, BC and then Thunder Bay in 1981. Last year Gord and Yvonne moved to Brandon to be near family. Gords banking career was interrupted by World War II. He joined the R.C.A.F. (1942 1946) and served overseas as a radar technician with the R.A.F. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #6 for many years. Gordon was predeceased by his infant son; parents; and siblings, Alex, Jim, Bill, Laurie, Margaret, Chris, Barbara Hartwell, and Lenore Lee. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held at a later date in Thunder Bay. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Gord may be made to a charity of choice. The family wishes to thank Dr. Mikhail, the staff at the Assiniboine Centre, and the Home Care attendants for the excellent care they provided and the love they bestowed on him.
