MARKLE: Kenneth (Ken) James Markle passed away at his home in Brandon on Thursday, December 03, 2009 at the age of 79. A family memorial service was held at the Brockie? Donovan Chapel, Brandon on December 5, 2009. Ken was born to James and Alice Markle in Carberry, MB and later the family moved to Brandon. In 1949, he married V. Jean Markle (née Barr). He owned Comfort Craftsman Plumbing and Heating in Brandon for many years, later he joined the Province of Manitoba Housing Authority from which he retired. In 1997, he moved to Winnipeg where he volunteered and enjoyed good health. Ken was a Mason, a member and past President of the Brandon Shrine Club and he was in the car patrol and the pipes and drums. Ken was predeceased by his parents and one sister, Ruth Rose. He is survived by his three children: son Ron (Deborah) Markle, daughters Barbara (Mike) Hall and Linda Meyer; four grandchildren; three great- grandchildren; his sister Helen (Glen) Ryan of Winnipeg and brother-in-law, George Rose.
