NEUFELD: Abe Neufeld, 1919 - 2009. On Thursday December 3, 2009 at Boundary Trails Health Centre, Abe Neufeld aged 89 years of Winkler, Manitoba, formerly of Souris passed away as the result of a motor vehicle accident. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Sadie (nee Peters) of Winkler; three daughters, Betty and Mac Draper of Elgin, ManitobaB, Louise and Bill Lawson of Souris, Manitoba, Jeanne and Don Lewis of Maple Creek, Saskatchewan; two sons, Bob and Alexis Neufeld of Winnipeg, Ed and Janice Neufeld of Brandon, Manitoba; twelve grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; two step daughters, Marjorie and Arnold Anderson, Mary Anne and Leonard Yaremchuk both of Lethbridge, Alberta; two step grandchildren and four great step grandchildren. He was predeceased by first wife Hilda (nee Neufeld) in 1984. Funeral service was held Monday December 7, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at Winkler Bergthaler Mennonite Church. Committal and interment followed on Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at the Boissevain Morton Cemetery. If friends so desire, donations may be made in Abe’s memory to the Mennonite Central Committee or to the charity of one’s choice.
