STOREY: Jeanette Evelyn passed away suddenly on January 1, 2010 at home in Brandon. Jeanette was born on April 2, 1948 in Neepawa, Manitoba. She was the only daughter of the late George Halton and Evelyn Rosalie McGorman. Jeanette loved to meet and chat with new people. She worked many years in public service businesses. She was a hairdresser in B.C. She worked at Westman Nursing Home in Virden, the Keystone Centre in Brandon and recently giving out food samples in the local Brandon grocery stores. Jeanette always cherished the times she could go for coffee or out for lunch with old friends and relatives. She loved to plant her flowers in the spring and watch them grow, spend weekends and holidays at the cottage in Sandy Lake and to see and visit with her grandchildren. Jeanette is survived by husband Darwin of Brandon, her son Troy (Colleen) Mutch of Neepawa, her son Kent Mutch of London, England, her brother Stu (Fran) McGorman of Brandon and her granddaughters Megan, Katie and Marissa of Neepawa. She also left to mourn many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. A family celebration of Jeanette’s life was held on Saturday January 9, 2010 at White’s Funeral Chapel in Neepawa, Manitoba and officiated by Rev. Alan Armstrong. Interment was at the Riverside Cemetery. Memory donations may be given to a charity of your choice.
