KIDD: Kenneth “Ken” Gordon. It is with heavy hearts and much sorrow that the family announces the passing of their beloved father and grandfather, Ken, on January 10, 2010. Ken was born in Brandon on March 31, 1929. He married Hazel (née Calen) in 1951 and raised three sons. Ken was predeceased by his wife Hazel and his brother Murray. Ken is survived by his sons Larrie (Lynda) of Onanole, Warren (Irene) of Nanaimo, Kirk (Rita) of Kelowna; grandchildren Michael, Kevin, Stephanie, Steven, Allison, Victoria and Conner. Ken is also survived by his brother Raymond, niece Shannon and by his girlfriend, Chris Bradford. Ken worked on a farm in Crandall as a young man then moved back to Brandon and worked for an oil company. Later, he worked for Husky Oil, CPR Transport and Modern Dairies. Ken spent many happy hours at Clear Lake fishing and visiting with friends. A time of visitation for family and friends will be held at the Brockie Donovan Chapel, 332-8th Street, on Monday, January 18, 2010 from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. The Funeral Service will follow in the Chapel at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Jeff Robinson of Hilltop Baptist Church, Erickson, Manitoba, officiating.
