MANZ: Doreen (Isabel). It is with sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our mother, Isabel Manz (nee Hally) on January 5th, 2010 at the age of 82. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Louise (Richard) of Lumby, British Columbia, Marilyn (Pat) of Oak Bank, Manitoba and Doug (Mary) and her children, (Scott, Kara and Blair) of Brandon, Manitoba. Isabel was predeceased by her husband, Earl, in 2002, mother Charlette, father Joseph. She was born in Deloraine on November 21, 1927. Isabel married Earl Manz on August 3, 1950, where they lived and farmed in the Hathaway district until their retirement in November 1997 moving to Deloraine. Isabel then moved to Bren- Del-Win Lodge in October 2008. Over the years Isabel was an active member of the Regent W1, the Deloraine Royal Purple, and was on the board of Bren-Del-Win Lodge for 21 years. A celebration of her life was held at the Deloraine United Church on Saturday, January 9, 2010. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Bren- Del-Win Lodge for the wonderful care they provided Mum. Also to friends and relatives for their kind words, and Smith Funeral Home of Deloraine for their compassion during this time. If you so desire, donations may be made in Isabel’s memory to the Bren-Del-Win Lodge of Deloraine or the Parkinson’s Society.
