WATSON: Ronald Kenneth passed away suddenly Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at his residence in Winnipeg in his 68th year. Ron was born and raised at Napinka, Manitoba where he received his education. He was the eldest child of Harry William and Evelyn Eleanor (Brownie) Watson. He graduated from MIT in Winnipeg as a radio/television technician, despite a birth defect that handicapped the use of his left side. He worked at his trade in Winnipeg, before returning home to work at Snyders Electric in Melita and Virden Television. His handicap did not interfere with Rons ability to curl, golf, play ball or any other endeavor he wished to attempt. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting. He had a keen mind and excelled at chess and could outwit most contestants at Jeopardy. Ron moved to Winnipeg after retirement to be closer to his sister. He was predeceased by his parents and is survived by twin siblings, Donald (Linda), and Betty (Hugh) Tribe, nephews Andrew and Christopher (Sandra) Watson and Christophers children Ami and Alexander. Arrangements by Wojicks Funeral Chapel of Winnipeg. A celebration of Rons life will be held at a later date.
