GAAB: Mary Gaab (Yaworski) died peacefully at Fairview Nursing Home in Brandon on Saturday, January 9, 2010. She was born in Port Arthur, Ontario, then lived in Elphinstone, Manitoba with her husband, Edward Yaworski. After her husband died in 1967, she moved to Brandon, where she worked and met her second husband, George Gaab. Her favorite pastimes were sewing, knitting, gardening, and playing cards and Bingo. She was predeceased by her first husband, Edward Yaworski, her second husband, George Gaab, sister Jessie Woznyk, and brother Mike Pinuta. She is survived by her sister Katie Ewanochko, daughter Darlene, son-in-law Wolfgang, grandson Kyle, and step-sons George and Bill Gaab, as well as many nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Augustine’s Roman Catholic Church on January 19, 2010. A memorial service will be held in Elphinstone at a future date to be announced where her ashes will be buried next to her first husband, Edward Yaworski.
